My name is Liane, I am 25 years old and I was born in the North of Germany, where I still live today. I spent one year working as an online German tutor. During that time, I noticed a recurring challenge many of my students faced: they often struggled with German verbs and their prefixes. They would frequently mix up prefixes or leave them out entirely. Another common issue was remembering whether a prefix was separable or inseparable.

This realization motivated me to create something practical to help students overcome these obstacles. That’s how the learning stickers were born – small, visual aids designed to support the learning process and make understanding verbs and prefixes easier. My goal is to provide students with a simple yet effective tool to help them conquer these tricky aspects of the German language.

When I was learning Russian, I experienced similar issues with verbs. Sometimes, I said things I didn't intend to say. For example, I once wanted to say that someone beat the cat, but instead, I said she was killed – all because I used the wrong prefix. To overcome this, I started creating verb mind maps, hanging them on my bathroom wall, and reviewing them while brushing my teeth. This method helped me learn many verbs simultaneously without needing to sit down with an entire vocabulary list!
